Whether you are a Rock and Roll, 50’s fan or not, I am sure you must have heard about the recent musical/drama about, in my opinion, the absolute King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. The movie directed by the director Baz Lurhmann, whose other movies, like Romeo + Juliet and The Great Gatsby you might have seen, released first in theaters on June 24, 2022. “Elvis” is about Elvis Presley’s life and music career, as well as a musical that displays and performs all of his best songs; although, let’s be honest, all of Elvis’ songs were and still are the best. The role of Elvis Presly is perfectly interpreted by the actor Austin Butler, who you may know from the movie “Aliens in the Attic” and the Disney show “The wizards of Waverly Place”. Austin Butler brought Elvis Presley back to life, beautifully interpreted him, and hundred percent deserved an Oscar for the best actor of the year. He and Tom Hanks did an amazing job in “Elvis” and set really high expectations for me, that I am sure will be impossible for any other musical to surpass. “Elvis” is the kind of movie for which you go to the cinema to watch multiple times, which I did. If you are not into this kind of music, and do not believe Elvis Presley is the king of Rock and Roll, shame on you. Just kidding, although I have a hard time understanding how someone could not like this kind of music, everyone has different opinions. You should check out this amazing movie to find out for yourself if you are an Elvis lover or not.
