The Junior Girl’s season has started the season off strong, winning Gold in the tournament at Notre Dame against four other schools. The girl's first game against Ridgemont High School last Wednesday was a total success, with Immaculata winning all three sets of the match! Special credits to Elham Kadir and Isabella Girolami for setting the team up for the win. The outcome of the game has shown that these girls have the determination and motivation to stay strong throughout their regular season in hopes of making it to the finals! Although volleyball is played on a small, 18 by 9-meter court, the game is very competitive, with each team trying to decipher ways to use blocks, serves and spikes to win a point against the opposing team. Volleyball is one of the most popular indoor sports in Immaculata, with there being around four teams each: Senior Boys, Senior Girls, Junior Boys and Junior Girls each year.  The Junior girls will have their hands full over the next couple of weeks while the season continues through the month of March. This week, the two captains, Dyvine Dorneval and Alexia Nombe, will get the team pumped and ready to play St.Peters on Monday, February 27 and Gloucester High School on Wednesday, March 1st. Let's hope this team has what it takes to bring Immaculata another win! As always, good luck, girls and Go, Saints!  For the results of the games, check MAC Chronicles next week and learn what teams Immaculata will face next.
