Taylor Swift's Midnight Album- An Honest Review
WRITTEN BY IRENE ORTEGA.
Taylor Swift recently released her new album “Midnights'', and so far people have loved it. Like, gone crazy over it. Millions of people waited more than eight hours to buy tickets for Taylor’s new concert tour. Tickets even reached the price of $37,430 due to the incredibly high demand. Humans have lost their minds over Taylor, which I don’t particularly understand.

The album is composed of 13 songs about, as Taylor said in an interview, “a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams”. I will list them at the end of the review for anyone who might be interested in checking them out.

Now, what I thought about the album is…nothing. It was bland, not what I expected from such an amazing artist like Taylor. I don’t have any particular feelings against it. The songs were similar and really slow. And even though some of them were slightly better than others, like “Karma”, I just didn’t feel like it was Taylor’s music or style. What happened to “Shake it off”, “You belong with me” or “Look what you made me do”?

In my opinion, those songs have character and are original. Songs that are unforgettable. I did not feel that with her new album. Of course, I find Taylor’s voice gorgeous and love her singing style. But I think she didn’t reach her full potential with “Midnights”.

Still, you should definitely take a few minutes and listen to the songs yourself. Everybody has different music tastes. Afterall, if millions of people were fighting over going to Taylor’s concert, I may be the only one that did not feel this album.
