I know I am hopping on the bandwagon of writing about the Miami Dolphins, but how can I not after watching this team drop 70 points with backups in at the end? Who knows how many more they could have scored if they ran up the score as much as they wanted? It got so bad that they had Jets legend Mike White in the game with 9 minutes left. Then they decided to take a knee with a minute left when they could have set an NFL record by kicking a field goal but decided to take a knee and so-called “keep it classy’.
This stirred up the NFL community, but all of this is beside the point. With 70 points in one game with Jaylen Waddle and Jalen Ramsey out, this team is special, but how specific? with their run game tearing up Denver, Devon Achane going for 203 yards and 2 TDs, Raheem Mostert going for 82 yards and 3 TDs, and Tua throwing 309 yards and 4 TDs with an absurd 88.5%. This game was generational; this offense is generational, and they are my Superbowl pick, with Tua looking to finally compete for a major award and prove everyone wrong who called him a bust.
Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek form an iconic duo, and the rushing duo of Devon Achane and Raheem Mostert with a great offensive line as well as Jalen Ramsey coming back in December with an excellent defense already holding their ground. This team is exciting and is one of the few teams that have found the perfect balance to dominate the NFL by adding current superstars to their roster and having young superstars on their roster. Unlike the Rams, they have not thrown away all their picks, having all of their 1st round picks for the future.
Bringing a new sense of hope and optimism to the city of Miami after having terrible luck in the NBA finals after losing the Eastern Conference finals twice and the NBA finals twice in the past four years. As well as the Dolphins not having the best of luck in the past decade, but with that being said, this year might be the year they turn around and bring a new reputation to Miami sports.
